Hello Friends
Welcome to our site with current news for our members and guests visiting today. GIAA encourages and promotes positive images of Italian Americans in the mass media and popular culture.

GIAA is the only ethnic acting union in the United States.  Our membership is eclectic, with people from many ethnic groups working together with our historic Italian-American base.  We support a broad range of arts groups that are working to preserve their cultural heritage.

Ciao Amici

Founded in 1937 as the Italian Actors Union
An affiliate of the AFL-CIO
A Branch of the Associated Actors and Artistes of America

The Italian Actors Union through the years has experienced many transitions as other theatrical unions and guilds emerged and jurisdictions were formed. The IAU is now recognized as GIAA: Guild of Italian American Actors.

GIAA is committed to helping Advance, Promote, Foster and Protect the welfare of its members not only within its own jurisdiction but with the jurisdictions of its sister unions.

GIAA serves the purpose of preserving the history and awareness of Italian Heritage amongst its members.
